Cookie Policy
Last updated: 24 September 2026
1. Introduction
This Cookie Policy explains how Qomplio AB (“we”, “us”, “our”) uses cookies and similar tracking technologies on qomplio.ai and on the Qomplio platform at app.qomplio.ai (together, the “Website”). It explains what these technologies are, why we use them, and your rights to control how they are used.
This policy should be read alongside our Privacy Policy, which explains how we handle personal data more generally.
2. What Are Cookies?
Cookies are small text files placed on your device when you visit a website. They allow a website to recognise your device and store information about your preferences or past actions.
We may also use similar technologies, including:
- Local storage — data stored locally by your browser
- Tags/scripts — code that enables features or collects usage data
For simplicity, we refer to all such technologies as “cookies” in this policy. This matters here, because on the public website the only thing we store is a local-storage entry rather than a cookie, and the rules that govern storing information on your device apply either way.
Cookies may be:
- Session cookies — deleted automatically when you close your browser
- Persistent cookies — remain on your device for a set period, or until deleted
They may also be:
- First-party cookies — set directly by us
- Third-party cookies — set by a third party whose services we use
3. Categories of Cookies We Use
We use two categories. We do not use functional, marketing or advertising cookies anywhere, and we set no third-party cookies.
| Category | Purpose | Consent Required? |
|---|---|---|
| Strictly Necessary | Enable core functionality such as security, session management, and remembering the cookie choice you made. The Website cannot function properly without these. | No — exempt under the ePrivacy Directive |
| Analytics/Performance | Collect information about how the website and the platform are used, to help us measure and improve performance. | On qomplio.ai, yes — nothing analytics-related loads until you accept. In the platform at app.qomplio.ai, analytics is on by default and you can switch it off at any time |
4. Legal Basis for Use
Strictly necessary cookies are used on the basis that they are essential to provide the service you have requested. They do not require consent under the EU ePrivacy Directive.
On the public website (qomplio.ai), analytics runs only if you accept it. We rely on your freely given, informed consent, obtained through our cookie banner in accordance with the EU ePrivacy Directive and the EU GDPR. Nothing analytics-related is loaded until you accept. You may withdraw your consent at any time, and doing so will not affect the lawfulness of any processing carried out before withdrawal.
In the Qomplio platform (app.qomplio.ai), product analytics and error tracking are part of the service and are on by default. We rely on our legitimate interest in improving and debugging the platform (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR), as set out in section 4.1 of our Privacy Policy and section 9 of our Terms of Service, rather than on your consent. Each user can switch product analytics off at any time under Privacy on their account page.
5. Managing Your Cookie Preferences
5.1 Consent and preferences
When you first visit qomplio.ai you are shown a cookie banner where you can accept analytics or decline it. If you decline, nothing analytics-related is loaded at all — there is no request to block, because none is made.
You can change or withdraw your choice at any time using the Cookie preferences link in the footer of every page on this website.
In the Qomplio platform at app.qomplio.ai, product analytics is part of the service and is on by default. You can switch it off at any time under Privacy on your account page. Switching it off stops collection and clears the analytics identifiers stored in your browser.
5.2 Browser Controls
Most browsers also allow you to manage or block cookies through their settings. Please note that blocking or deleting cookies may affect the functionality of our Website and your user experience.
6. Third-Party Cookies
We set no third-party cookies. Our analytics provider, PostHog, is served through our own domain, so the entries it creates are first-party. PostHog processes this data on our behalf as a data processor, in its EU region.
We do not use advertising networks, and we embed no third-party content that would set cookies of its own.
7. Cookie Table
| Cookie Name | Provider | Category | Purpose | Duration | First/Third Party |
|---|---|---|---|---|---|
qomplio.cookie_consent | Qomplio (local storage) | Strictly Necessary | Records whether you accepted or declined analytics on this website, so you are not asked again | Until you clear it | First party |
ph_conv_<project key> | PostHog (local storage) | Analytics | State for PostHog’s in-product messaging features. Written only after you accept | Until you clear it | First party |
ph_phc_<project key>_posthog | PostHog, served first-party via our own domain | Analytics | Distinguishes browsers and sessions; carries the device and session identifiers used for product analytics | Approximately 12 months | First party |
qomplio.analytics_opt_out | Qomplio (local storage) | Strictly Necessary | Records that you switched product analytics off, so the choice survives a reload | Until you clear it | First party |
The first two entries apply to this public website; the third and fourth apply to the Qomplio platform at app.qomplio.ai. On the public website, no cookie is set at all — the consent record and the analytics state are both local-storage entries.
8. International Data Transfers
Where cookies involve the transfer of personal data outside the European Economic Area, we ensure such transfers are subject to appropriate safeguards, such as an adequacy decision or Standard Contractual Clauses, as described in our Privacy Policy.
9. Governance and Review
This policy is reviewed annually or when required due to changes in applicable laws, technological developments, operational needs, or organizational scope. Material changes will be communicated through the platform or email.
